Ann, thanks so much for posting the article that mentions Amdahl in a very positive way. I have been pounding the table about our reliability, scalability, CPU speed, security, I/O bandwidth, etc. Much better than UNIX or NT machines, for the right applications. We mainframers, aka dinosaurs, don't get much of the good press anymore, but we're still here.
About Lincoln NE, I don't know if I mentioned it in a prior post, but we did drive through there on our move from Boston to the SF Bay area. Boy, can't believe it was 1971! I still remember the Buffalo (Bison?) ranch or farm. Is it still there?
I guess Clinton salved (vs. salivated) folks last night in his speech, judging by the markets.
