As a member of the conservative conspiracy this blurb's for you:

CONSERVATIVE LAWYER SUBPOENAED
The New York Observer reported in Wednesday's edition that a conservative New York lawyer has been subpoenaed by Clinton's lawyer about his possible connection to the Paula Jones and Lewinsky cases.

The subpoena, issued Monday, was for documents and testimony from George Conway III, a lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. According to the Observer story, Conway informed "stunned" colleagues at the powerhouse law firm that he had secretly been working for Jones since 1994, including helping write her a Supreme Court brief arguing against presidential immunity last summer.

The article, by Joe Conason, characterized Conway as the possible key to a plot by a conservative, scandal-mongering apparatus bent on destroying the Clinton presidency.

Conway refused to comment for the article last Friday but said he would be available Monday. On Monday, however, the firm said he was "on vacation" and Conway left a message at the paper saying he was "out of town." Clinton lawyer Bennett would not comment on the subpoena for Conway.
