Observe how a "we are capitalistic, we are a free market, we are a free society" country makes state-supported arrangements with it's ... er .... "leaders" to deal with state-supported societies.
There are always details in this and that thing which you can discover, to differentiate between this and that thing. But time and again, if you step back and look, it's the same kind of thing that happens everywhere. The dressing up is different, the language is different, the moral and legal justification is different. Otherwise, it's the same.
I hope they all ride downhill, and fast.
This is not going to make much sense to anyone until one gets a terribly painful kick in the rear, first unexpectedly, second deliberately, and most importantly, undeservedly. In that split second, one looks behind and instantly knows the difference between what is "decent" and what is "not decent".
