OK They opened the schools in Quebec.. elementary ones.. it worked... Trump wants to open them.. Not a popular opinion .. he is correct I think.. BUT he would use kids as cannon fodder for capitalism.. that is HIS message... His tweet about consequences was puerile, inane and beneath his office as is most of what he spews... and the wrong way to do things.. His entire MAGA platform is stuck in the past... He should have said we need to open the schools.. because folks need to work, need a safe place to send their elementary age kids.. we will work with ALL levels of government and school authorities to provide the safest environment possible, recognizing social distancing and the need for masks are the essential starting points.. But he is truly an arse.. incapable of being a president for all Americans... ie incapable of doing his job... Even if the schools did not open .. at least he would have sounded like a president... I lament for the world if he gets a second term.. but I bet a lot of foreign powers are happy to have him subverting US hegemony.. built up over a long time regardless of party in power...
