Re: Japan About a month ago there was a quote from an ex-finance minister of Japan that said, in effect: 'Japan needs to restructure, and, as the US did in the 80's, close many of the bad banks. However, that is impossible if you have to reach consensus with the CEO's of the same banks.' The finance minister said it much better, but the effect is the same. Don't count on Japan getting out of their mess anytime soon. Clark
