I also have a filled prescription, the telemedicine doctor knew what the Zelenko regimen was and reluctantly prescribed it. I waited until I was feeling under the weather, it took a couple of days to get tested (drive through by appointment) and a couple more to get the results, I figured a further delay if I needed it would make the whole thing pointless. A small investment in insurance of a different sort, I have no idea what my doctor would prescribe and didn't want to chance some area wide edict or personal bias. About $150 to me plus whatever the insurance pays on the test.
My complaint isn't with medical research, thank goodness we have these things on the shelf. My complaint is with medical bureaucracy, the current crop, the baby boomers, my generation. What a bunch of clowns, shows what you get when appearance of competence is the hurdle. My generation generally, bunch of clowns, gave the country away far as I can tell.
Probably same as it ever was, no better or worse than any other, I'm just older and more aware of it. It's like the Peter principle was applied on steroids, everybody promoted to a level just above their competence, all furiously paddling upstream, working hard at looking good so nobody finds out. |
