I waited to long to write Aug calls, but am writing some Sept. Won't go closer to the election than that.
My last covered call was MSFT in 2017. It popped on the day of expiration, was called and hasn't looked back. That trade cost me over $80K if I had just held it until now. I probably would have sold some on the way up, but it was still probably my worst trade ever.
