Yah, If we look at many of our investment decisions we make assumptions about the status quo being maintained. We think of disruptive innovation as a threat and changing demographics / habits (i.e. internet) but the virus was a black swan to an extent. Hindsight is 20 20 but it seems to me that finding ways to protect the "at risk" while keeping the economy going would have been the best alternative.
