Yes .Brazil has a problem with Chagas disease which in certain people leave them with heart failure. This disease is a parasite from the kissing bug (triatome) and effects mostly the poor who live in mud huts with thatched roofs. This left many poor people 30-50 years old who developed heart failure and required a novel way to help them
