Hi Rocky! Good to have you back. I always enjoy your posts

I finally caught up on all the posts... There was 2 questions
in them for me:

(1) DVD companies I like?

- DVD chip makers are Motorola and a company called
Zoran (ZRAN). Been watching Zran for a while, just waiting
for a big move (I missed the bottom on this one...)

(2) Would I pay $2575 vs. $2500 for a computer with a ZIP drive.
sure!! But would a mass market buyer (not everyone is rich
like we all are ;) ) who saw 2 computers:

(1) One for $1575 w/ ZIP

(2) One for $1500 no ZIP?

The mass market buyers would probably take the cheaper one. Then, the
computer maker that priced his computer at $1575 would lower his price
to $1500 to compete.. Then BINGO! he is eating the $75 per system.

Most people still buy on price guys and gals...

Then, let's say that the ZIP does cost $75 per OEM.. How much money
is Iomega making per transaction here? ($75 - factory cost) = ?????

I have my guess at what the factory cost is..
