Joe, All,

Off Topic:

We had a very pernicious, anonymous malcontent on the CCEE thread we endured for almost a year. We assumed this character was a paid gun or someone with a deep personal vendetta against the company. Anything positive was maligned. It resulted in starting a group email list just to get away from this clown.

A very savvy attorney who contributes to the CCEE thread found out who this person was and had the chutzpah to post his name and address on SI. HA! This, coupled with the participants of the thread imploring Jeff, Brad and Jill (founders of SI) eventually resulted in this character being bounced off the service. He/she is now on the Yahoo message boards still spewing threats and venom.

I believe this incident resulted in the founders updating their terms of service.

SI, in essence, is best served in self-policing. Most of the time the best remedy for these obnoxious types is to be "adjusted" by the thread participants. This DCTC thread is an elevated forum and I'm sure Brad, Jeff and Jill will be quite receptive to any forwarded posts that maliciously take away from the intent of what SI is meant to be. I consider the founders visionaries with a high degree of empathy to the concerns of the participants on SI. (They also appreciate positive letters) :-)

I've made some quality friendships on this service. I hope to make more.

Onward,

George
