Jefferson is one of my favorite presidents. He's the only president who paid down all the debt (from Washington and Adams), including the expenses of the revolutionary war. He and President Clinton are my heros. Clinton and Jefferson raised taxes and balanced the budgets. Jefferson also created the progressive tax system where requires more from the rich. I'd be hard pressed to name one thing I disagree with. The Louisiana Purchase was criminal but the right thing to do.
