Resurgence? The virus will run its course. The mortality rate/infected % is what is relevant.
OK then let's take that estimate of 0.64% fatality rate.

Let's also say that 70% of all Americans get infected, which is where herd immunity (without a vaccine) is achieved.

For a population of 328M, we're looking at 1,469,440 deaths. That's 4,480 deaths per 1M population.

In comparison, Belgium right now has 844 deaths per 1M population, and they are already at the tail end of the curve.

Is that outcome acceptable to you? Just sacrifice 1.5M American lives because we care more about a maskless lifestyle?
