Rarebird, You have no idea what liberalism and progressivism is all about in 2020. Actually I do. It stems from the belief that inequality is the root of all evil. People who are too rich tend to do evil things. People who are too poor tend to do evil things. Society thrives when the so-called "middle class" thrives, and "progressivism" seeks to redistribute the wealth so that the gap between rich and poor shrinks. The problem is that to you "progressives," government is the means to the classless end. Class stratification is a big problem, so you think it takes a "big government" to solve such a problem. And because the ends justify the means, you will subject yourselves to an even bigger and bigger government and willingly give up your rights and freedoms. You'll never understand that because everything I just said went into your brain as "blah blah blah." But I don't expect YOU to understand. I expect those who still have open minds and a modicum of sanity to understand. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for you), such people are harder and harder to find. Tenchusatsu
