Longnshort, I'm calling it. The Washington Redskins will be renamed the D.C. Sentinels.

Not only are they getting rid of the name "Redskins," which according to lily white liberals is offensive to Native-Americans, they're also getting rid of the name "Washington." Cause you know, George Washington owned slaves, so he's bad bad bad.

Why the "Sentinels"? There's a lot of talk about the movie The Replacements with Keanu Reeves, where the team name is called the Washington Sentinels. Plus it's been reported that Dan "Cash for Clunkers" Snyder is having trademark issues with whatever new name he's chosen.
