That's good historical info on Krakatoa. The writer is correct in that it could be one (or more) of a number of volcanoes. I'm not so sure about picking one in specific and pinning a date on it. As soon as I get a good wood-coal burning stove/heater properly installed I'll be ready for a volcanic winter. I'm pretty much good to go with everything else for that. Took a picture where the northwest corner of my fence turns south. Melons, squash and strawberries get wind/hail protection. Won't withstand a volcanic winter but I have stored supplies and indoor grow.
