Pierre, you wouldn't happen to know the number of my post reporting on the LHUG conference tapes you were kind enough to send me, would you? I just spent a while clicking around unsuccessfully.
But anyway, my recollection is that I reported in that post that somebody (somebody that smelled very like a short to me) brought up "scratching" more than once, but was answered definitively by a printer who called in, said they'd had some scratching until they got a protocol or some such thing and now that they were doing it correctly, no problem; and I believe I also recall that he was nice enough to offer to send the correct procedure to anybody who wanted it!
But hey, go ahead, keep talking about scratches.But it doesn't enhance your credibility, I think.
In another post I think you offered your psychoanalytical theory about why the longs weren't posting much right now. Being in contact with a few of them, I can tell you that there are times when life is terribly congested (2), or people are ill (2) or are traveling (1), and in every case I know of (5=total I know about personally) regarding "our" frequent long posters, one of those three applies. |
