Actually, Starfire is able to take up to 64 processor which means
that you can either run one copy of the operating system (Solaris)
by using 64 processors or you can run 64 copies of the
operating system each on its own processor. So it is like having
64 servers on one machine ( for a lack of a better way to
describe it.)

It is also hot swapable which means you never have to turn off
the machine ever, if you want to add a processor or change
a processor, add a disk ... etc.
