Hi jhild, moonray, Scrapps, David A., Mr. Bill, bp, Paul, Derek and anyone I may have forgotten.
Oh yeah, David Lawrence too, whoever the hell that is.???
It's good to be back. I sure did miss all the over-opinionated, wise-ass commentary that the "Ghost Thread®" provides.
I sure as hell didn't mean to stay away for so damn long. It all started out when I ate this damn Twinkie and a Ho-Ho for breakfast one morning. Next thing you know I had horrible gas, a flame-proof ass, and the Haz-Mat team was asking for specimens.
------------- Actually I took a couple weeks off for the holidays and promised mysaelf not to even LOOK at a computer or a stock quote. I was burnt out and needed a break.
It worked out great at first. I had a great X-mas and New-Years. (I tried to drop the thread Holiday Greetings on X-mas, but no-one where I was vacationing had a computer or Internet access for 20 miles in any direction. )
I got back home after New Years and was feeling GREAT. All refreshed, batteries recharged and anxious to get back to work.
The flu decided I needed to take more time off though. I don't know how many of you got this years "new-and-improved" version, but I can say without hesitation that it was the worst flu I have ever experienced. I can easily understand why it was killing off people. I was starting to wonder if I was EVER gonna snap out of it.
I was so f((&*&king sick I couldn't believe it. DAYS of puking my guts up. Couldn't seem to sleep long or often enough. I'd get 10 hours of sleep, wake up for an hour or two and fall asleep sitting up as if I hadn't slept at all. I just couldn't keep my eyes open. This would happen two or three times a day until it was time to go back to bed. ;-)
Really pissed me off. I figured a few days and it would be over, but nOOOOOOOO, I was down for a couple of WEEKS. I finally started coming out of it last week, but I was still tired all the damn time.
I finally went to the Dr. where they stuck things in every hole (if there wasn't a hole, they made one.) Everythings seems to be OK so far, but I still feel tired. They want to run a few more tests. I've got my fingers crossed.
I hope everyone here is making lots of moola and doing well. COMS chart is looking fairly encouraging. I'll elaborate later. |
