I am almost 80. I fast between six at night until noon the next day. 18/6. Compressing one's eating window seems to be the healthy way to eat; and I eat mostly vegetables, with some eggs, cheese, sea food and a little meat, mostly as a condiment. And I fast longer when I feel well to get maximum "autophagy" benefits.

I am old and have some arthritis, so don't always feel that good, but I do my morning ride religiously. I know how important it is.

When I wake up and after having a cup of coffee, and a shower, I ride my bike between 1.5 and three miles in the morning. And often again in the afternoon. It is important, they say, not to eat before or after you exercise for maximum health benefits e.g. autophagy and growth hormones. .

And fasting is an easy way to maintain my weight, and I often feel better.
