Hi all,
You folks really like making assumptions!

Three points:
1) I've been reading this thread longer than some of you have (my history shows that I've first started looking at this around message 6900). I am extremely familiar with the style, tone, etc you use, and in general, like it, believe it or not. SOME of the posts to this thread border on "I love you" Valentine's, and are almost (or entirely) devoid of ANY stock/investment discussion. Someone else posted a comment on this, and I happened to agree.
2) The person I 'agreed' with may have stated it more strongly than I would, since I ENJOY the friendly nature of this group (until it spits at a seeming 'visitor' like me) but just because I am 'new' as a poster here doesn't justify assumptions, so please stop making assumptions - like "They can't tell that we get just as much accomplished the way we do it than what they do on other threads...." (Thanks Sonny) - You may get a lot accomplished, but the % of posts here that are DEVOID of investment topics are higher than in many other 'low-noise' threads I follow - I tend to avoid the garbage, argumentative threads. Excuse me for commenting on that fact!
3) I didn't personally attack anyone, or call anyone any names. Now I find that I'm a "dude", whatever that is... I also find posts that "probably would have harmed animals" being planned by the nice people on this thread (thanks Ann). Again, why so negative? My opinion of you (collectively) has moved down a notch - I mean, I have identified with many of you on many things, and enjoyed that - I've been to Seattle three times on vacations (hi Sonny), and play the piano rather well, though certainly not like Frank. Like Ann, I'm a 32 year-old programmer from the Midwest, and a guy from my hometown happens to play on the Nebraska Huskers - my sister and his sister are very close friends - see: huskerwebcast.com Sorry to have violated your little sanctum, but please call off the dogs!
BTW: 30% of my stock portfolio is in INTC. |
