It could also be reporting problems. But I have a few Indian friends that I’ve been talking with about it. These are highly educated individuals, acutely aware of events. Their perception is that HCQ is key. But it is important to keep in mind that HCQ has been used extensively in India and undoubtedly saved millions of Indian lives before the COVID-19 disease existed. Also, they manufacture a lot of HCQ for their own use - many millions of courses of treatment a year. There’s no money in it, but there is national pride at stake. At any rate, Indian reports of success are starting to come in and that will continue. The idea that states are starting to ban the only lifesaving drug we have for the virus is shocking. Trump is going to have to solve this. I sure can’t support Biden but I’m frustrated as hell with Trump over his unwillingness to solve this problem, which I think he could do with a wave of his hand.
