I wonder if big institutions have mandatory stop orders.
Few scared investors who sold their holdings after market closed
could have triggered the stops and caused the ridiculous sell-off.

I am actually more curious to find out who's buying right now and for what purpose. It is the today's buyers, not yesterday's sellers, who will determine the stock behaviour tomorrow.
