Do you ever feel that you are living in the Matrix? A dial up your own reality type of place?

Today's FB and GOOGL comments are too bizarre to believe. Supposedly, ad spending took a big jump in the 2nd Q. In FB's case, it was supposedly due to all of the advertising small businesses were doing.

So, I guess the narrative must be that just as they decided to never reopen their doors due to fallout in business caused by the lockdowns over the "pandemic", small businesses all across America bought a big batch of Facebook and Instagram ads to advertise what? That they were no longer in business?
