I really don’t care - as long as you know who gets re-elected. But, when Trump cancelled flights from China in late January, he was attacked from every direction, most of all from Washington. It was early in the international lockdown cycle. People back in those days didn’t think along the lines of putting the world on ice. Takes a long time to turn a big ship.

Anyway... family friends were in Rome Italy last November, around the same time my wife and I were there. They took a cruise ship from Rome to Florida - and she came home quite sick, with a dry cough, weakness and shortness of breath, which lasted for about 6 weeks. She has antibodies to CoViD. She got infected in the middle of November, on the way from Italy.

All January I kept reading stories about people with dangerous viral pneumonias showing up in ER’s - testing negative for Flu. At that time, the CDC did between zero and 16 CoViD tests a day.

The disease was fairly widespread way before they identified the new virus in Wuhan.
