Legs will be broken, teeth knocked out... This sounds extreme, no doubts about it. China is fully vested in suppressing the virus. I think it’s a big deal. If they suppress it until they can vaccinate the population, that would be a grand accomplishment. They will have done something nobody else could. But, if the virus explodes from under them, despite their high tech tracing and all kinds of heroic efforts - then they screwed up on a grand scale. All they did would have been to no avail. An embarrassment. So, every time there is a breakout, they’re going all out to contain it. I suspect, part of the problem with Indian skirmishes may be creating a distraction. And maybe, preparing an excuse in case they do fail.
