Teachers Are Wary of Returning to Class, and Online Instruction Too Unions are threatening to strike if classrooms reopen, but are also pushing to limit live remote teaching. Their demands will shape pandemic education. nytimes.com Teachers unions may be powerful but they aren't that powerful. To the extent they will be able to drive the decision they have to pick one. Support online instruction, support kids returning to classrooms. Or I guess they could just decide to not get paid anymore.
