Ivermectin is excreted unchanged, or metabolized in the liver. Hardly any impact on the kidneys.

Sounds interesting. Personally, the way things stand now, I think HCQ is a better choice - there is more experience with using it, more studies. At this point, I’d consider using Ivermectin if it looks like HCQ is ineffective (or, failed as a prophylactic medication), or if a person for some reason cannot tolerate HCQ.

This will probably change as more info comes out.
