I disagree.

The parties stand for different ideologies. When one votes, the party is often even more important than the person.

I have NEVER voted for a Republican, because I don't want to give them power.

When we have closed primaries we can choose among ourselves who we want to represent us. I don't want a Republicans choosing my candidate!

Let them pick their own candidate. I disagree with pretty much everything the Republican party stands for.

The voting in the primaries is private.

And who are the radicals anyway?

That's why primaries need to be abolished. The parties can have whatever party they want to endorse a candidate, but the power of the state should not be used to enable "primary-ing" candidates if they are not as bad as the radicals want them to be. When it comes to voting in the primary it should be one slate of candidates which are voted on by all. Let the parties make internal agreements, but the actual vote will be private and secret so no retaliation can by levied.
