Bernie is not the progressive party and what happened is not as simple as you make it out to be.

Bernie blew it by his hubris talking about revolution and socialism and taking on the Democratic party. He set we progressives back.

On top of that there was no way the democrats moderate or progressive were going to follow Bernie over Obama and Pelosi and the Democratic establishment.

But the progressive faction of the Democratic party is large, they just don't have the power. Pelosi, Hoyer and Clayburn have a zillion chits gained over 50 years in the Democratic party and cannot be changed directly.

So what is happening is progressives are gaining power in the House and senate, one seat at a time. Like AOC crushing Joe Crowly and Jamaal Bowman crushing Elito Engle. Both long term moderates and high ranking dems.

Most progressives like Katie Porter are on the down low, and there are a lot of them like that, but they will not become moderates and every day their power increases.

The future is with the progressives. One election at a time across the country at the federal and state level.

Bernie won the state of Nevada by a land slide. Did you miss that?

The only reason Biden won was because Obama, Clyburn, Pelosi and the entire Democratic power structure backed him to defeat Bernie.Obama told mayor Pete and Amy Klobuchar to quit and support Biden and they did the next day!

But to think Bernie's defeat was the defeat of the progressive movement in the party and country is naive and dead wrong.

Biden has been working with Bernie for months now and medicare for all is now in the Democratic platform.

Why do you think Biden is being so careful with the progressives? Because he knows their power in real time!
