I have traded one stock with Datek (AMES) where they declare themselves as market maker on the transaction reports they send to me. I'm not sure what the implications are. There has never been any declared mark-up on the report, which I believe they would have to include if they were in fact making a market on the stock. I have no expertise in this area. Just here reading a lot trying to learn some things, but thought you would all like to know.
