There are many concerns. You’re right, the most important one has to do with the young people. They may have been brainwashed enough to “give socialism a try”. The truth is, of course, that socialism - even mild, Western style - leads to stagnation and lack of freedom. Much of that is already in place. There are enough reasons to worry that American socialism wouldn’t be of a kind, benign variety. I imagine a progressive “utopia” - a la 1984, I’m afraid, to a large degree.

This one will be a “Flight 93” election - to a far greater degree than the last one.
