That seems a bit expensive, the local shop I am trading at charges
maximum 18 dolllars a trade up to a 1000 shares and includes free level 2.

If you are in Los Angeles , they will set you up with remote trading , that means you can point and click from your home.
However to preserve the speed of the executions they will not go over the internet but over a dedicated phoneline hooked up to their server.

They are currently upgrading the system to include a dot system remote that will not only offer NYSE point and click but also priceinfo on the different regional exchanges

Currently they offer level II on all Nasdaq stocks and SOES , Selectnet and Island executions.

The whole system should be in place shortly and if you live in LA and want more info e mail me .

Regards
