In reference to the prior P.R. news item from CSCO that I posted (#32419), I had heard that ASND had hired, away from CSCO, one of the top engineers in the RAS/RAC field. If that is true, CSCO's momentum in RAS/RAC may swiftly fade. Some evidence of the recent strides made by ASND are the TNT s/w resolution, impending voice card for the TNT, impending DSLTNT, the recent certification of ASND's TNT products (see news posts on this) and, not insignificantly, the totally revamped venting of the RAS product as mentioned by Ejabat at the Scottsdale conference. So, maybe CSCO is just touting old news. Time will tell whether CSCO ends the year #1 in RAS/RAC. Gary Korn
