<<Just bought more at 11 7/8 after listening to conference call. Can't see any justification for the selloff.>>

First, as many of you know, I'm long on MTIC and hold quite a few shares...but that doesn't stop me from keeping my eyes open.

This selloff is a combination of factors, IMO. 1) Short term profit taking on good news. It's happening in this market...particularly with the Asian jitters. 2) The conference call may not have addressed the short-term outlook with much vigor. I know for fact that many companies these days try to keep a very upbeat focus during the conference calls...but often carry on private conversations after the conference call with lead analysts and institutional owners...which I suspect has happened here. In private conversations, often management gives a bit more guidance...and if it's selling off like it has been...perhaps management was a bit more cautious regarding their short term horizon or the short term risks.

Just my speculation...from prior experiences. For short term investors, we may see some weakness for a while...and therefore the negative tone / evaluation may be justified...but for most of us longs...the overall story remains the same...just the timing of certain events is getting in the way or outside influences that affect investor sentiment. for short periods of time.
