when i was young oh so long ago the gold miners had as much a 40:1 P/E ratio... That was then and this is now....Nem picks up about $500 million for each $100 rise in the gold price... They averaged about $1734 an oz of return per oz in the second quarter.... so their dorward looking P/E ratio is extremely low at 14.34... Maybe they are waiting for the market to give them their proper due before they use their scrip to make some strategic acquisitions...
