a bit of my family history, My Grandad was a Cop in Montreal with14 kids to feed, luckily in those days there were fringe benefits to being a Cop in the depression, Store owners liked having Cops around because of the crime so they would give out freebies of some food staples. At the dinner table one time my Dad said his brother, my Uncle Morris was keeping his hands under the table and Grandpa asked what was wrong, Morris didn't want to show his hands because they all swollen and red from a beating by a Brother, a religious teacher at his school, Grandad was so pissed he went to the school to arrest the abuser and was only stopped when the Monsignor told him it would never happen again, no one bothered my family at that school again.
