If the left had taken over Weimar Germany we would've seen a Stalinist state on the Rhine seeking revolutionary expansion of communism. Not much difference in outcome.
Potentially, could have been worse. Stalin's empire, instead of fighting them, would be fighting along with them. Pretty scary, actually.
