There seems to be an overarching, stealth, seldom discussed, trend in the US and that is diminishing property rights. Destructive riots, rent moratoriums, forced business closures, artificial near 0% interest rates, increasing deficit spending, etc. are all screaming your property is ours to do with as we please. Everybody is hoping that the trend it temporary and will reverse soon as Covid eases, but will it?

More commonly discussed is the "temporary" erosion of personal rights.

Either one is bad. Both together mark the decline of the empire and they are currently hitting new lows...
