Matty what do you think about the competition?

"Called AdController 2.0, the product is an intelligent, persistent Java agent that enables ads of any file size (but initially limited to 70K) to run with full-motion simulation and sound, the company said."

I am fairly ignorant to this sort of technology but I was wondering about doing things in Java. Isn't Java extremely slow? Also 70K seems a little small for video. What langages are typically used for these applications? Sometimes applications are written in one language and then ported over to another language to gain the necessary speed.
If that's the case these people still have a lot of work to do.
Seems to me any application that has to move video must be very fast.
