The need for 70% of the population to go through CoViD in order to have herd immunity has been proven wrong all over the world. Nice article, many interesting facts. Unless a nation can suppress a virus like CoViD - and very few could, and it’s still unknown how it will end - the best path is the age (and state of health) based strategy. From the beginning, the motto was “protect the vulnerable” - but, that wasn’t done. Even to the contrary, some governors sent sick patients to nursing homes. Closing down the country was unnecessary. The only reason for keeping it closed is perceived political advantage. I keep track on Florida. Gov Ron DeSantis took a lot of abuse, but stayed on track. We can see that numbers of new cases are in an established down trend since the top about a month ago. The state with about 2 million more people than NY is about to come out of this epidemic, once and for all, with only a fraction of the number of deaths they had in NY. tallahasseereports.com
