Active cases are cases where a covid test is positive, but this is different than hospitalizations.

So for the moment we have in Florida:

  • 536,961 Total cases
  • 476,538 Active cases
  • 8,277 Deaths

Total - Active - Deaths = Recovered

Which today would be: 52,146

However, since the hospitalizations have been consistently less than 10,000 over the past month there are a lot of Active cases. At what point are they considered Recovered and purged from the 'Active' count?

How do I get that data? I have been taking a daily feed from the Worldometer site since March (well most days). I know this is far from perfect, but I am not seeing any major sites tracking data over time.
