The right wing pre- suppose things like poor people are lazy or stupid and then they defend that position. They don't take it apart and analyse it and subject it to science and logic, they just go with it.

Modern social science knows being poor is a matter of circumstances and mostly environmental and can be mitigated to a large degree with education!!!!


There are loads of lazy rich people. Our current President is one of the laziest people in the country, for example.

There are other poor people who gambled away their money, not just at casinos but on Canadian penny stocks (a coal stock if I recall correctly). Education didn't prevent that. A taste for easy profits is all it takes. But Trump is still the biggest loser - he bankrupted multiple casinos in his time and turned to crime - selling imaginary riches to saps at a fake university and laundering oligarch's stolen money.
