I suspect its genes make one susceptible to environmental factors. There is something like that at play in alcoholism and Native Americans. en.wikipedia.org The article I posted about pot might fall into that. Developmental biology is a fascinating area. Its driven by genes of course, but the environment can have profound effects. So no surprise that the two interact. Untangling causation is difficult.
