That 15MB card is outrageous. BUt it can use many other cards too. Check it out:

"E2N series use JEIDA (Japan Electronic Industry Development Association) PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) Type I and Type II cards - PC Cards. Although E2N series require the use of a PC Card, it is not necessary to use the EC-15 high speed Flash ATA Type I card. Many other types of memory cards can be used including SRAM cards from Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Maxell, Epson and Dupont and with ATA cards from IBM, Epson, SanDisk, Toshiba and Maxtor. "

That $950 15MB PC card is an ultra high speed card. Each photo that camera takes is 3.7MB--Big file! Regular flash cards would be slower, and the slowest would be Vapor! With Vapor!, you would have to wait at least 6 seconds between each picture.
