Sorry, the Dems who voted against civil rights acts before and in 1964 literally produced Democrats like James Earl Carter, Bill Clinton, and Al Gore. They were staunch supporters of FDR's social programs though. In that respect, they were as liberal as northern Democrats.
That is why I specifically used the terms conservative and liberal and not Democrat and Republican.
That you have to do that nullifies your anti-Republican bigotry.
