I think virtually everyone on this thread wishes ORCL did not take this recent swoon, but that's reality. My investment was halved (from the top) just like yours, but the real question is what to do now, not what should I have done back in August because its fruitless to dwell on this. Always look forward. If you do not believe that ORCL has good potential in the future, don't buy it. However, don't be surprised to see it at 40+ by 12/98.
Also, don't mistake Larry for the business guy, because he isn't; he's the development and vision guy. Lane and Henley are the business guys. As I've said previously, no one knows the financial results until the QTR is over, and the books are closed; any prognostications prior are educated guesses at best.
If you like Microsoft, buy it, but it looks pricy to me.
