Another week, another story, they'll be on top next time maybe. I've just been sitting here trying to figure out where CM is going, and don't have a clue. BMO seems really obvious, though - down. Here's one reason; canoe.ca - they likely won't be able to axe enough people to bump the bottom line significantly at first. Here's another reason; chartf.canada-stockwatch.com\BMO-19980128-19980128.gif
..... is that not clearly headed down, for a while at least???? bwdik

Are you following the PHV story, Russ? Know anything about it? I had a bunch of PEM and sold it yesterday on the buyout bump and now the cash is burning a hole in my pocket. I bought some PHV already and so far plan to wait for a bounce trend to develop before loading up. We'd appreciate your thoughts over on the thread;

samson asked about analyst stuff - Midland put out their Bank Bumpf as usual on Monday and this was the header;

"Merger Blockbuster Saves Banks from Last Week's C$
Downtrend but Now 'Business as Usual' for 9 Months
Should Temper Investor Enthusiasm"

There is an exclamation mark in the main text. I have never seen that before from Mr Keating -g- ............ cheers ........... marcos
