It's a bit mystifying. The vote was supposed to be factored in the stock price. The backing from a wide spectrum of Asian operators was a surprise, but I don't think that is really the reason for the 10% uptick in two days. I think it's probably the rumours circulating in Stockholm about the blow-out quarterly results Ericsson is supposed to be unveiling tomorrow. The whisper numbers are quite high and apparently Nokia is expected to follow with equally good numbers, especially since it doesn't have the sluggish & unprofitable infocom sector that Ericsson is grappling with. Nokia is currently trading at P/E of 16 for 1998 and obviously this is scandalously low if the Asian impact isn't as big as expected. Hope you got onboard before Wednesday, stock nerd.
