Personally I don't have a problem with Wind or Solar or Tidal power as a SUPPLEMENT to a country's National Grid and for Domestic use. A homeowner putting an array of Solar Panels on his roof and getting credit for putting power back into the grid, and also saving himself money, is of benefit .... You will see that in countries such as Australia.

BUT .... A 1st World, Industrial country CANNOT RELY ON WIND OR SOLAR FOR ITS 24/7/365 ELECTRICITY BASE LOAD REQUIREMENT !!!

That BASE LOAD must come from STEAM POWERED GENERATORS that have to ensure that ELECTRICITY IS THERE ON DEMAND.

My recommendation is Nuclear Power .... For MANY DECADES a country, such as France, has obtained over 70% of its Electricity requirement from its OWN DESIGNED AND BUILT Nuclear Power Plants ---->

America has its own Design and Construction arm in companies such as WESTINGHOUSE .....
